About the brand

Bialetti is a truly iconic Italian brand that has combined the ideals of Italian design, quality, and innovation for over a hundred years. Alfonso Bialetti founded his workshop in Crusinallo (Piedmont province) in 1919, where he began his business by manufacturing aluminum semi-finished products.  In 1933, he designed the still-definitive Moka Express coffee maker, which created a genre and revolutionized home espresso making. 

With its distinctive octagonal aluminum shape (Art Deco inspired), the Moka Express was not only a technological innovation but also a design icon – a piece exhibited in museums worldwide, including MoMA. After the war, thanks to the marketing efforts of Renato Bialetti, Alfonso's son, the brand achieved true global success, and the legendary "little man with a mustache" logo, "L’omino con i baffi," was born.
