Ingredients
- 200 g Gazda branded butter
- 200 g sweet potato
- 70 ml milk
- 3 g granulated sugar
- 25 g yeast
- 400 g flour
- 1 pc egg yolk
- 10 g salt
Steps
- 1Steam or bake the sweet potato in the oven, then mash it and let it cool. Warm up the milk, add the sugar and yeast. Thoroughly mix the egg yolk with the mashed sweet potato and butter. Add the activated yeast and start adding the flour.
- 2Don't worry, you will get a very soft dough, do not add extra flour!
- 3Cover the kneaded dough and let it rise for about 1 hour.
- 4After rising, pour it onto a floured surface and fold the dough a few times. Then roll it out to about 1-1.5 cm thick, cut out smaller scones, and let them rise for 20 minutes. Brush with beaten egg and bake in a convection oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes until done.
