Filippo Berio Pesto with Sun Dried Dried Tomatoes

Pesto is a typical Italian sauce. It gets its name from the verb “pestare”, meaning to crush or grind, as all its variations contain ingredients that have been crushed or ground. Filippo Berio offers two types of traditional pesto sauce: the classic green version and the red version with sun-dried tomatoes.

• The main ingredients of the classic version are basil, garlic, parmesan, pine nuts, olive oil and spices.
• The red pesto contains a large proportion of sun-dried tomatoes compared to the basic version, which gives it its vibrant reddish colour.
