Chipita was founded in 1973 in Greece to manufacture and distribute salty snack products. At that time, their main product was Extra cheese corn snack, which was followed by potato chips in 1988. In 1991, they entered the market with their individually packaged, long-life bakery product called 7DAYS croissant, which was soon followed by 7DAYS mini croissant. A few years later, in 1995, the innovative BakeRolls bread chips appeared, which quickly became a favourite with consumers. During this period, Chipita began to develop into the international company it is today, by establishing its own subsidiaries and through strategic cooperation with larger international and local companies.
