The history of the TUC snack began in 1960, when a Belgian gentleman, Mr. Parein, returning from a study trip to the United States, decided to introduce a new type of biscuit to Europe, which, in line with the overseas style, is much lighter and crispier than the one we are used to here. The snack, first launched in a salty version, was named TUC and immediately became a huge success in Belgium.
