Europe's favourite gluten-free brand was born in a small chemist's shop in the South Tyrolean town of Merano. The Schär brand itself was founded in 1922, and initially produced gluten-free baby food developed by Innsbruck's chief physician Dr. Anton Schär. At the age of 23, his son Ulrich Ladurner took over the chemist's shop from his parents and, being very interested in gluten-free products, added them to the shop's range. This was something of a revolution for people with coeliac disease: as the range of gluten-free products grew, so too did their quality of life. To this day, Schär continues to provide gluten-free versions of popular foods. They are virtually indistinguishable in terms of taste, smell, appearance and texture, and can be seamlessly integrated into your daily routine. Schär products also include healthy ready meals. Today, Schär is the ideal partner for maintaining a gluten-free diet and lifestyle!
