The Planteray PXXO 20th Anniversary rum celebrates the rich heritage of Barbadian rum-making, recognized in many parts of the world. This unique extra-aged rum - thanks to its maturation - possesses exceptional complexity. This rum underwent a very unique aging process, as the spirit was matured in new white oak barrels, bourbon barrels, Ferrandos cognac barrels, and Pedro Ximénez sherry barrels from Andalusia. Each barrel enriched this noble spirit with a different aromatic profile. The PX barrel, for example, imparted a delicate, raisin-nutty smoothness to the drink.
About the brand
The Planteray brand is not an entirely new name in the world of rums, but rather the new, official designation for the former, world-renowned Plantation brand. The renaming aimed for the brand to develop globally while respecting modern societal expectations (avoiding the historical connotations of the previous name), yet preserving its award-winning quality.
