Producer Information
Pecznyik Béla runs his own organic farm in Békés county, on the outskirts of Doboz. He has been involved in the family farm's work since childhood, learning the basics of the profession from his father. Despite his young age, he has been involved in vegetable cultivation for nearly twenty years, and since 2017, he has been working as an independent primary producer. Béla exclusively practices organic farming and pays special attention to preserving natural balance. He does not use chemicals on his land; instead, he ensures soil health through green manuring, crop rotation, and natural methods. He primarily cultivates traditional field vegetables – such as potatoes, carrots, beetroot, and onions – but also experiments with various fruits. He is also active in processing and sales, operating his own washing and packaging plant. He performs his work with passion and great precision, personally supervising every process. Domestic, sustainable food production is important to him, and his goal is for more and more people to receive reliable vegetables from a clean source. In 2022, he became a finalist in the young farmer category of the 'Agrarian Person of the Year' award.
