Type B, for cooking

Tuber characteristics

Dark pink skin, yellow flesh, large tubers, very nice oval shape, firm, shallow buds with a darker colour than the skin. Medium dry matter content (19-20%).

Use:

Type "B" for cooking, not floury, fine flesh structure, general purpose, excellent tasting table potato. Free of raw and cooking discolouration.

Growing and storage characteristics:

High-yielding. Excellent shape retention and stress tolerance. Not prone to deterioration. Free of physiological tuber defects. Despite its early maturity, it has a long dormancy period and can be stored well.

"I am Róbert Kordás, the founding manager of robioFARM Kft. and an agricultural engineer. We have been growing organic potatoes in our family farm for twenty years on the Kiskunság sand ridge, on the northern border of Kiskunhalas. Our initial determination and the production experience we have accumulated since then all serve to ensure that our potato buyers can really consume 'the healthy goodness of the earth' every day.

Potatoes play an important role in our diet as a number of extremely healthy and enjoyable foods, side dishes and as a basic ingredient for babies' initial supplementary feeding - so it is not unimportant where and how they are produced before they reach our table. Organic farming is carried out under conditions controlled by a certifying body on our farm, without the use of chemicals. To control pests and pathogens, potatoes are only returned to the same growing area every 4 years at the earliest. In order for the potatoes to feel good in the soil and to develop healthily, we stimulate the soil life that provides nutrients for the plant exclusively with organic and mineral materials and by incorporating green manure plants sown in the years preceding the potatoes into the soil. At the end of the production process, we strive to ensure the best quality with gentle harvesting and careful manual sorting.
