Rosemary leaves make meat dishes easier to digest and more durable, the flower is used to flavor and color salads.

Like most herbs, rosemary also originates from European and African countries around the Mediterranean Sea. In these places, countless types and varieties have developed, which can even vary from country to country. 

 

 

It is used to flavor sauces, game meats, marinades, poultry roasts, fatty meat dishes, mushroom and fish dishes, as well as to make special herbal vinegars, and with sage and onion to flavor and scent marinades, sauces, lamb and mutton dishes, game meats (venison, deer, rabbit meat). It is typical mainly of Mediterranean cuisine, especially French and Italian dishes.

The plant, which contains essential oil, saponin and tannin, is used in moderation to flavor sauces, marinades, poultry roasts, mushroom and fish dishes, to make special herbal vinegars, and to flavor and scent lamb and game dishes.

Storage

Store between 14 - 22 °C!

On the balcony and in the garden, it prefers sunny places. Planting in the open ground is not recommended because it is not frost-resistant. It can grow up to 1-1.5 meters high and can be shaped into a shapely bush by pruning. Requires moderate watering.
