Producer information
The original Schweppes recipe was invented in Switzerland in 1783. This was the first time that the process of producing carbonated water was put into practice. After the invention of the drink, the Schweppes Company was founded, but later moved to London, where it soon supplied its drink to the royal palace. It was the official drink of the 1851 London World's Fair, which is why the fountain in the Crystal Palace has become part of the Schweppes logo.
