Holland syrup wafer, 250g
Producer information
The Ziegler name still guarantees quality today.
The history of the Angyalföld wafer factory, which is equipped with modern machinery today, dates back to the beginning of the century, when József Ziegler, the grandfather, opened a bakery in a family house on the site of the present factory.
When the company, which soon became one of the five largest bread factories, was also nationalized, his son Tibor Ziegler, having obtained his industrial certificate in 1953, started making wafers with his wife.
In 1953, the Ziegler Wafer Factory was founded as a private enterprise on Kodály Körönd. Initially, they only baked wafer sheets, later they also dealt with flavouring. They "reinvented" the Karlsbad wafer, which is filled but not a creamy wafer.
