Interesting facts
Broccoli is very rich in vitamins A, C and K, but also contains significant amounts of folic acid, potassium, calcium, dietary fiber and phosphorus. Broccoli contains more than 30 antioxidant substances, including various indoles and bioflavonoids. Its most important active ingredient is considered to be a sulfur-containing compound called sulforaphane, which is also found in cauliflower and cabbage.

Use
It has a very wide range of uses, as it can be prepared as a pickle, side dish, soup or main course like asparagus. During processing and steaming, try to heat it for only a short time, maximum 10 minutes, to preserve its valuable vitamin and mineral content.
