The word teriyaki is a combination of two Japanese words:

• Teri – shine, glaze 
• Yaki – to grill

Product description

The base of Kikkoman teriyaki marinade sauce is the classic Kikkoman soy sauce, which makes it particularly tasty.

This sauce perfectly enhances the flavour of any grilled, fried or deep-fried meat, fish and vegetables, and is also ideal for use as a marinade, especially during the grilling season.

Ingredients

200 g mie noodles, 200 g snow peas, 2 red bell peppers, 1 small red Jalapeno pepper, ½ small head of cabbage, 4 tbsp vegetable oil, 8 tbsp Teriyaki marinade sauce, 2-3 tbsp white wine vinegar, 2 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves, freshly ground pepper, ground ginger, 1-2 tsp honey

Preparation 

1. Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the package until „al dente”.
2. Wash the snow peas and cut into thin strips. Cut the bell peppers and the Jalapeno pepper in half. Clean, wash and cut the bell peppers into strips, and dice the Jalapeno pepper.
3. Mix the oil, the Teriyaki marinade sauce, the vinegar and the coriander, then season with pepper, ginger and honey.
4. Mix the noodles, the snow peas, the bell peppers, the Jalapeno pepper and the cabbage with the dressing, let it marinate and serve.

Producer information

Kikkoman's predecessor was formed by the merger of 8 family companies in 1917 in Japan. A factory was built in Goyogura Noda with the aim of preserving traditional techniques and continuing to produce soy sauce for the imperial household. The brand name is so famous in Japan that it became the official partner of the 2021 Olympic Games.
