Its main component, the heart of the drink, is the 12-year-old Highland malt whisky, Cardhu. Its colour is orange with a golden hue, its flavour is deep, with detectable aromas of citrus oils and raisins. To be consumed neat or with a little water - this releases the aromas and flavours that have been locked in over the long years - the drink opens up.
