Producer information

In 1968, the Budapest Dairy Company began producing the original Soviet dessert (in the Soviet Union, an ancestor filled with a curd-butter-sugar mixture, vanilla flavoured, chocolate-coated, already existed under the name "glazirovannij syrok") during a study trip between the COMECON countries. It was first produced in the Szabolcstej Mátészalka dairy plant, then production also started in the Nagybánhegyes Zalkatej dairy plant. Following the regime change, the manufacturing companies were privatized, as a result of which the production of Túró Rudi became the property of Friesland-Campina.
