INGREDIENTS
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 3 bay leaves
- Salt
- 3 tbsp oil
- 80 g smoked bacon
- 600 g rinsed sauerkraut
- 6 peppercorns
- 300 g African catfish fillet
PREPARATION
- 1Dice the catfish fillet, then place it in a separate bowl. Add the oil, crushed garlic, and paprika, season with salt, and mix thoroughly.
- 2Heat the smoked bacon in a pot, then remove most of it. Sauté the red onion in the remaining fat, then the garlic.
- 3Stir in the rinsed sauerkraut. Sprinkle with paprika, pepper, and add bay leaves. Pour in a glass of water, season with salt, then cook for 30 minutes.
- 4Then add the catfish fillet pieces and cook for another 10 minutes. Serve with sour cream and finely chopped dill.
