The company is called the "Experimental Factory of Canned Fish and Culinary Products" and exports its products throughout the Soviet Union. . It covers an area of 11 hectares and employs 720 people.

The company goes through bankruptcy and reorganization, the Arnold Sørensen and Kaija brands are retained. There are only 4 export markets left when the company resumes its activities
