Borsodi Brewery has been an indispensable player in the domestic beer culture for more than 50 years. The brewery started beer production in 1973 in the Bőcs brewhouse in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county. The original brewery is now a visitor centre, where beer lovers can admire the former technologies and equipment, learn about Borsodi's almost half-century-long past, the processes of brewing, and can also participate in a memorable beer tasting. With its continuous technological innovations and the use of high-quality raw materials, the company keeps pace with current beer market trends and strives for continuous development. Borsodi introduced the first domestic non-alcoholic beer and was the first to use KEG barrels, and Borsodi was also the first to appear on the Hungarian market in metal cans, and its name is associated with the first widely available flavoured product family, Borsodi Friss. In recent times, it has also had numerous innovations, not only in its image but also in its in-plant developments.
