CASTILLO de Aresan Bourbon Oak

Castillo de Aresan is located in the heart of Castile, in the land of Villarrobledo. The 170-hectare vineyard on this exceptional estate flourishes on the Meseta plain, 750 meters above sea level. A deep dark purple wine with a fruity-caramel scent and coconut aroma, aged for 6 months in whisky barrels. Its taste is full-bodied and supple.

Producer Information

Bodegas Castillo de Aresán, located in Villarrobledo, Albacete, expresses the fusion of tradition, time, and space.  Since July 2017, the winery has belonged to the French Les Grands Chais group; currently Europe's largest wine producer and a leader in French wine exports. All of these, along with the traditions of French winemaking, collectively give the name Castillo Aresán. The possibility of combining the best terroirs and the best winemaking techniques results in exceptional wines. They also cultivate foreign varieties, such as the region's most characteristic variety, Tempranillo; in the latter case, they are constantly working to discover the almost infinite possibilities hidden in La Mancha.  In addition to the most modern winemaking technology, Castillo Aresán also boasts a completely renovated aging cellar with 800 French oak barrels, which allows its wines to acquire exceptional aromas and flavors. Their grapes are harvested at the moment of optimal ripeness, thus ensuring the quality and balance of the wines.
