Producer information

The Hilltop vineyards are home to the wonderful Felső-Pannon wine region. It is wonderful because the cultural diversity of the region's settlements and the variety of the landscape make the area a real treasure trove.

The wine region, which extends over the ridges, hillsides and hills of the Vértes, Buda, Gerecse, Kőszeg, Sopron mountains and the Velencei and Pannonhalmi hills, is linked by the cooler character of the climate and the lively, acid-rich wines. Its climate is shaped by the oceanic, wetter and cooler air currents coming from the north and the southern Mediterranean influences, so there is much more white than blue grapes here, in line with the weather conditions. Since the wine region is relatively large (stretching from Budapest to the western border of the country), the grape varieties grown are also very diverse, from Kékfrankos to Ezerjó to Chardonnay.
