Grand Tokaj Muscat Blanc dry

Airy light, fruity wine, which carries all the beauty of the Yellow Muscat grape. It has a greenish-yellow colour. Its aroma combines discreet spiciness with the characteristic flattering aromas of the Yellow Muscat grape. In addition to the fresh citrus, the scent of chamomile flower can also be found. The taste of Yellow Muscat remains perceptible for a long time. In addition to the perfect harmony of acidity and sweetness, its taste is dominated by lime, pear fruitiness and fresh white-fleshed peach. Elegant, but firm, crisp acids make the wine complete and long. Excellent aperitif.

Producer information

Grand Tokaj is one of the most significant domestic wineries owned by the Tokaj-Hegyalja University Foundation, which - as the largest winery in the historical Tokaj-Hegyalja wine region, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site - is the guardian and developer of the national winemaking tradition.

At their Tolcsva wine centre and their own vineyards, their main activities are primarily grape production and purchasing, as well as winemaking and sales. The winery, which has 67 hectares of vineyards, is also a prominent player in their wine region: about 35% of the region's total wine production is made up of the wines produced here.

As an integrator in the region, in cooperation with winegrowers who have been working with them for years, they currently purchase strictly controlled quality grapes from approximately 670 hectares of productive land.

The wines of their winery, representing a renewed spirit, are made under the direction of Károly Áts, the winemaker who won the Winemaker of the Year award in 2012 and the Winemaker of Winemakers award in 2020, and who has been the company's chief winemaker since 2013.
