This Mendoza wine, which used to be called Reserve, now bears the name Estate and pampers us with ripe fruits, blackberries, sour cherries, a delicately woody, lively spicy scent. Intense black fruit sip, soft tannins, fine roasted coffee notes, long finish. (40% aged in French oak barrels for six months)

The Caiquén is a wild goose from Patagonia that flies across the Andes between Argentina and Chile. Embarking on a cross-border flight, the Caiquén faces serious challenges.

Just like the Caiquén, Aurelio Montes, the founder of the Chilean winery Bodega Montes, made several trips to the Andes until he rediscovered Mendoza in 2000 as a land full of great vines and hardworking people. In 2001, he realized that Mendoza was the perfect place to make Kaikén wines, which embody everything a great wine should be.
