Thummerer Egri Tréfli Sweet Cuvée, 2019

The word "cuvée" is of French origin, in Hungarian it is written as "küvé", meaning blend.

A cuvée is a blend of at least two different grape varieties, but from the same vineyard, which complement each other harmoniously.

Product information
Estate wine. Intense aroma, spicy taste, fine acids. The encounter of light, sweet fruitiness with the notes of oak barrels provides a particularly enjoyable experience for the wine consumer. Sweet red wine with protected geographical indication from Upper Hungary.

• Acid: 5.3 g / l
• Type: Red - sweet

Suggested use

• With nutty, peanut desserts.
• With red fruit cakes, such as: walnut pudding with blackberry cream.
• Ideal consumption temperature 16-18°C.

Producer information
The Thummerer family business has been engaged in viticulture and winemaking since 1984. Our wines, sparkling wines and pálinkas are made from the produce of 100 hectares of our own vineyards in the Eger Wine Region.
The centre of the winery is located in Noszvaj, 12 km from Eger.
The 2000 m2 former manor cellar was hand-carved into the volcanic tuff rock more than 100 years ago, which was extended in 2004 with a new 2200 m2 tuff cellar system.

The winery's awards:

• The founder of the winery, Vilmos Thummerer. Member of the Hungarian Wine Academy and the Pannon Wine Guild, which brings together Hungary's leading winemakers.
• In 1995 he was awarded the title of "Winemaker of the Year".
• The winery won the "WINERY OF THE YEAR 2011" award.
• Thummerer Winery "HUNGARY'S MOST SUCCESSFUL WINERY" in 2013 and 2017.
• The winery won the "MOST SUCCESSFUL FAMILY WINERY" award in 1994 and 1996.
• Later major awards: Eger Grape Grower of the Year, Eger Winemaker of the Year. Our wines have won valuable awards at both domestic and international wine competitions.
