It is produced in the Etyek-Buda wine region, exclusively from the Chardonnay grape variety, which is one of the fundamental raw materials for sparkling wines.

Its aroma is dominated by fresh grapes and citrus fruits, while its taste reveals creamy, yeasty notes and freshness. The long, clean finish highlights the elegance of the Chardonnay grape variety.

Producer Information
On August 1, 1882, József Törley registered his business as Törley József és Társa (József Törley and Partner) at the Budapest company registry. The history of Törley sparkling wines thus dates back almost a century and a half. Open to innovations, Törley continuously developed his factory and the technology of sparkling wine production – for example, he was the first in Hungary to introduce the process of disgorgement (riddling by freezing). Thanks to this, his factory became the most modern sparkling wine factory in the country by the turn of the century. In the following decades, Törley's reputation and flavour were known from America to Australia, and the factory had depots in Hamburg, Berlin, and Copenhagen. The greatest recognition was that by then, Törley was even being drunk in Paris.
