The Manner Neapolitan has been one of the company's most popular products since 1996: three layers of crispy Manner wafer filled with rich hazelnut cocoa cream, in a practical, round shape – which is why we call it a "Neapolitan". But it is not only the crispy, round wafer and the high hazelnut content of the cream, but also the specially flavoured cocoa from our own roasting that makes the Manner Neapolitan a rare treat.

Did you know? Since the Manner Neapolitan is round, but is cut from a large, square wafer, there are leftovers. These do not end up on the plates of the Manner employees, but are used for the cream, in keeping with the old confectionery tradition. The Neapolitan is produced in accordance with the principles of the Manner quality guarantee and sustainable cocoa cultivation.

Like every great success story, this one also began with a special and unique personality from the early days of the company. Josef Manner, a trained merchant, opened his first shop in 1890 a stone's throw from St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, where he mainly sold chocolate bars and fig coffee. From the very beginning, Josef Manner pursued the strategy of selling better quality chocolate products than the competition at a lower price: "Every child who gives me a penny for my products should not only get a sweet, but also valuable food" - he liked to say.
