Etyeki Kúria Sauvignon Blanc Brut Sparkling Wine Etyek-Buda

The Etyeki Kúria Sauvignon Blanc Brut sparkling wine comes from the Etyek-Buda wine region, which is one of Hungary's most famous wine regions for making sparkling wines and fresh, elegant wines. This sparkling wine is special in that it is made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety, which is not a typical sparkling wine base, but gives the drink an exciting and unique character.

• Colour: Light, straw-yellow hue, with small and elegant bubbles.
• Aroma: Intense, fruity and fresh. Citrus fruits (lime, grapefruit), elderflower, and green spice notes (fresh basil or nettle) characterise it.
• Taste:
  • Crispy acids and minerality define it.
  • Fruity aromas, such as green apple, pear and tropical fruits, are mixed with mild grassy notes.
  • Long, refreshing finish.

Producer information

Etyeki Kúria Winery was founded in 1996 on the Etyek Öreghegy with 2 hectares of vineyards. It soon became the leading winery in the wine region. Four years ago, a modern processing plant and a cosy wine tasting room were built above the 150-year-old Swabian cellar. Thanks to the vineyard plantations carried out in several stages in Alcsútdoboz, the production area has reached 27 hectares, and the plantation of a further 5 hectares is in progress. The wine made from the Pinot Noir grape, which was the first to be planted in the Etyek – Buda wine region, has brought the winery numerous world-class awards.
