100% Primitivo grapes from the Puglia region. The vineyard is cultivated using the "Alberello Pugliese" method. There are 5,500 vines per hectare in this vineyard. The permitted yield is 1.4 kg per vine. The grapes are harvested by hand in early to mid-September. Before the harvest, at the end of August, when the grapes are perfectly ripe, a very special method ("Il Giro dei Picciolo") is used to damage the stems of 50% of the grapes, cutting off the supply of nutrients, thus inducing a natural drying out of the bunches on the vine itself. The grapes are left on the vine for another 12 days, then harvested. During this time, the grapes lose 25-30% of their weight, resulting in incredible concentration of flavours and aromas. 25% of the fermented wine is aged for 8 months in barrique barrels, while the remaining 75% "rests" in steel tanks. Before bottling, the two wines aged in different ways are "blended". The colour is garnet red, the aroma is dominated by cherry, raspberry and currant. The taste is also dominated by fruitiness. The wine is full-bodied, well-balanced, with soft tannins. It has a very long aftertaste.

Storage

In a cool place, away from light and heat sources. Once opened, if the bottle is properly sealed with a champagne stopper, it can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
