Producer information
The El Renegado estate was originally a 540-hectare forest and vineyard, 80% of which was over 40 years old native Bobal grape. Adolfo De Las Heras Marín played a pioneering role in introducing other grapes, such as Merlot and Cabernet. He was also a pioneer in the production of quality wines. In these early years, Don Adolfo began fermenting young wines and exploring new wine regions and winemaking methods.
His son, Adolfo De Las Heras Polo, was the one who took over the revolution of the winery in the late nineties, improving the quality of production and introducing complementary varieties such as Syrah, Chardonnay and Cabernet franc, which are still grown today.
