INGREDIENTS
- 1 beautiful large ripe pineapple
- 20 dag granulated sugar
- 1.2 dl 30-35% whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon salt flakes
- 25 dag vanilla ice cream
- 9 dag room temperature salted butter

PREPARATION
- 1For the sauce, caramelize the sugar to a beautiful amber color, stirring with a silicone spatula.
- 2Once evenly melted and nicely browned, add the butter and stir until smooth, then cook with the butter for 2-3 minutes until it becomes beautifully shiny and uniform.
- 3Then gradually add the cream and stir, then boil for another minute without stirring.
- 4Peel the pineapple, cut it into quarters, and slightly cut out the core, which is often quite fibrous.
- 5Sprinkle with a little sugar and grill, or cook in a hot pan for a few minutes on each side until nicely browned.
Tip
We can use any ice cream. The Caramel sauce keeps for a long time in the refrigerator in a sealed jar and can be used for almost any dessert. Pineapple is also very delicious when prepared on the grill, and it's a good accompaniment even for meats.
