INGREDIENTS
- 2 dl sour cream
- Pinch of sugar
- 3 dkg yeast
- 40 dkg flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 20 dkg soft butter
- 10 dkg grated Parenyica cheese
- 1 egg yolk for brushing
- 10 dkg grated Trappista cheese + for sprinkling
PREPARATION
- 1Mix the sour cream with the sugar and crumbled yeast.
- 2Add the salt to the flour, mix thoroughly, then add the butter and crumble it in.
- 3Once the butter is well distributed in the flour, add the grated cheeses and the sour cream with yeast, then work the dough.
- 4On a floured board, roll out the dough to 1-1.5 cm thickness, brush with the beaten egg yolk, sprinkle with grated cheese to taste, cut out scones of desired size, and arrange them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- 5Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 20-25 minutes until done.
- 6Baking time may vary per oven and also depends on the size of the scones. During baking, place a heatproof dish with water at the bottom of the oven so that it steams, which is good for yeast dough.
