INGREDIENTS

  • 2 dl sour cream
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 3 dkg yeast
  • 40 dkg flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 20 dkg soft butter
  • 10 dkg grated Parenyica cheese
  • 1 egg yolk for brushing
  • 10 dkg grated Trappista cheese + for sprinkling
 

PREPARATION

    Mix the sour cream with the sugar and crumbled yeast.

    Add the salt to the flour, mix thoroughly, then add the butter and crumble it in.

    Once the butter is well distributed in the flour, add the grated cheeses and the sour cream with yeast, then work the dough.

    On a floured board, roll out the dough to 1-1.5 cm thickness, brush with the beaten egg yolk, sprinkle with grated cheese to taste, cut out scones of desired size, and arrange them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

    Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 20-25 minutes until done.

    Baking time may vary per oven and also depends on the size of the scones. During baking, place a heatproof dish with water at the bottom of the oven so that it steams, which is good for yeast dough.
