Gedeon Brut Sparkling Wine

“My great-grandparents and grandparents were all winemakers here in the Izsák area. I practically grew up in the Gedeon vineyard, a few hundred meters from the winery. My father cultivated the small vineyard there, from which we always had a good 100 hectares of home-made wine. There was no question that I had to show what I was capable of here.”

Árpád Varga now farms on 80 hectares, combining the tricks he learned in the family, the knowledge he acquired during his higher education and his personal experiences. He has been continuously developing the estate between Ágasegyháza and Izsák since 1999. Tradition and modernity – these two words say everything about his aspirations. His respect for tradition is expressed in his choice of varieties, as he mainly deals with authentic Great Plain grapes, such as Kövidinka, Ezerjó, Cserszegi fűszeres, Kadarka and Sárfehér, which are at home in Kunság. In addition to several light-bodied white wines, he also likes variety in rosé and sparkling wines. His attraction to bubbles is well-known in professional circles; he makes very good use of his experience as a master sparkling winemaker at the Izsák sparkling wine factory in the production of sparkling wines and light, fresh wines with small bubbles. Anyone who comes to Izsák for a tasting, or more precisely to the Gedeon vineyard, must be prepared to get to know a serious range of items.

Storage

Store at 10-15 degrees, in a dark, closed place, consume within 1-2 days after opening, chilled.
