Budapest Bagel Plain

The Budapest Bagel is a completely additive-free and vegan product, which is handmade from domestic flour. The special feature of the bagel is that it is boiled before baking. Its dough is made from wheat flour and in its final form it is circular, with a hole in the middle. Compared to general bakery products, it has a firmer and chewier texture (due to the higher moisture content of the dough) and there is always a slight crust on the outside. 

A sandwich made in a bagel is typically more filling and keeps you feeling full for longer, which can reduce the desire to snack. Spread with cream cheese, fresh vegetables, cheese or even toasted, with just butter, it is a very tasty food.

Producer information

Budapest Bagel has modernised the original bagel recipes from Central Europe and has enjoyed huge popularity since 2013. The sandwiches made from bagels made in their own artisan workshop, which are inspired by the meeting of the Tel Aviv-New York axis and local flavours, can be tasted by those interested in several places in Budapest and also in Vienna.
