Launched in 1947 under the Ben's brand name, which was named in honor of a legendary Texas farmer who had been famous for decades for his excellent quality rice. Frank Brown, a restaurateur from an exclusive Chicago restaurant, agreed to pose as Ben's face. Uncle Ben built the historical leadership of rice through the functional point of superiority. BEN'S original converted rice has been an American classic for generations.
