Francesco Antonio Balocco was born in Narzole in 1903. He was the son of a clever shopkeeper who owned a confectionery and grocery store on the town's main street. Francesco Antonio opened his first pastry shop with his brother Alfredo in 1923 on Via Marconi in Fossano. This is where the story begins and continues to this day.
