Piros Kockás Limited Liability Company was founded in 2001, and their main activity is the production of dairy products. The idea of the Kockás cottage cheese bar was born in 2008 and was realized in 2009; initially it was produced in Ibrány, but since January 2011 it has been produced from the fresh milk of the Etyek dairy in Herceghalom, Pest County, just a stone's throw from Budapest. It is no wonder that they prefer domestic raw materials, as both the dairy that contract manufactures Kockás and the legal owner and distributor of Kockás are fully Hungarian-owned companies, so the Kockás cottage cheese bar itself is a genuine Hungarian product.
