The Citadelle gin is based on a single-distilled grain spirit, which is infused with 22 botanicals before being redistilled together in a traditional copper still. The drink was inspired by the garden of Debbie, the wife of Alexandre Gabriel, the creator of the brand. The colourful flowers and fruit bushes flourishing in the shade of the juniper trees inspired Alexandre to create an even fruitier flavour, with the refreshing notes of melon, lemon and orange. This is also reflected in the name of the gin: jardin d'été, meaning summer garden.

Serving suggestion

It tastes best in a gin and tonic, garnished with a slice of lemon.

Producer information

Citadelle gin has been produced by the cognac producer Maison Ferrand since the late 1980s. It was named after the Royal French Distillery built in the 18th century in the city of Dunkirk. The decorative glass bottle features the images of all 19 herbs and spices used to flavour the gin.
