Heat-treated, preserved, aquacultured trout caviar. Its taste is slightly spicy, a bit salty, and has a fine texture. Caviars are generally very nutritious, rich in omega-3 fatty acids, proteins, and other important nutrients. Caviar is often used as an appetizer, for pasta dishes, sandwiches, or simply on its own, for example spread on toast or as a decoration for cream soups.
