Bobby's is a marriage of traditional Schiedam jenever and the finest Indonesian spices. It owes its truly unique, special flavours to the following plants: lemon grass, cloves, coriander, cubeb pepper, cinnamon from the East, and juniper, rose hip and fennel from the West. Spicy, aromatic, bursting with fresh citrus and a pleasant peppery note, it is capable of presenting a great harmony of sweet and dry flavours.

Producer information

Jacobus Alfons, or Bobby as his family and friends called him, was born in Indonesia and fought in the Dutch army during World War II, then moved to the Netherlands in 1950. He was very fond of the local juniper-flavoured drink, jenever, but he missed the flavours of home, so he made his own gin, flavoured with Indonesian plants. Bobby's grandson, Sebastian, discovered an old bottle of gin in his parents' house in 2012, and inspired by his grandfather's story and recipe, he created Bobby's Gin after two years of experimentation with the master distiller of the Herman Jansen distillery, which has been operating since 1777.
