Producer information
One of Japan's largest and oldest whisky producers, the company was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, also known as the father of Japanese whisky. During his studies in Scotland, he learned the science of whisky making as a guest worker at three different Scottish distilleries, which he then put into practice back home. Since then, the brand has rightfully taken its place in the public consciousness as a producer of premium spirits that maintain a consistent quality.
