TABASCO products are made by the McIlhenny Company, founded in 1868 by Edmund McIlhenny on Avery Island, Louisiana. There he developed the recipe for TABASCO Original Red Pepper Sauce, which has been passed down through generations. The company remains family-owned and operated on the same island today. TABASCO sauce is made from three all-natural ingredients: aged red Tabasco peppers in oak barrels, a dash of salt, and high-quality vinegar.
