TABASCO® brand products are made by McIlhenny Company, founded in 1868 by Edmund McIlhenny on Avery Island, Louisiana. There he developed the original TABASCO® red pepper sauce recipe, which has been passed down from generation to generation. Today, the company remains family-owned and operated on the same island.
