Producer information
The original Swiss Williams pear brandy is made from Williamine or Williame pears grown on the shores of Lake Geneva (the Swiss Riviera) and the southern shores of Lake Zurich and Lake Neuchâtel. The centre of production is the picturesque town of Martigny at the foot of the Alps. The unique character of Williams brandy is not due to the special variety of fruit, but to the technology used.
The fermented, distilled and refined brandy is poured onto a "pear bed" processed into a paste-like mass, thus obtaining an extract rich in fragrance.
