Following gentle processing, fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, the wine was kept on lees until the end of June, and bottling occurred in early August.

Producer Information

The winery was founded by Kevin Judd in 2009, but winemaking was not new to him. For 25 years, he led New Zealand's iconic winery, Cloudy Bay, as its founding winemaker. When establishing his own brand, the ideology of sustainable farming played a significant role alongside top-quality winemaking technology. The estate was named after the greywacke rock, which is common in New Zealand. This essentially grey-colored rock is a unique mixture of sandstone and clay and can be found almost anywhere in New Zealand's stream and riverbeds, as well as its mountain ranges.
