Producer Information
The winery is located ten minutes from the city centre of Eger, nestled among the 30-meter high walls of an old quarry, in a truly exciting, landscaped environment. The quarry spans 3.2 hectares across four quarry yards, which are connected by tunnels. The estate includes 9 cellars: barrel cellars, bottle aging cellars, and hospitality cellars.
The winemaker, János Bolyki, an agricultural engineer, has been making wines since 2003, and his very first Bikavér received a silver medal at the Wine Olympics in Bordeaux in 2006. Since then, every year he has managed to bring home one or two medals from the world's largest wine competitions.
