The predecessor of HUNGERIT Baromfifeldolgozó és Élelmiszeripari Zrt., headquartered in Szentes, HUNGERIT Baromfifeldolgozó és Élelmiszeripari Rt., was established on 1 July 1997 from three local LLCs that had been working in close cooperation until then. The transformation was justified by the possibility of capital investment and the implementation of higher organizational efficiency. However, their professional knowledge and experience go back much deeper, to 1922, as a poultry processing company has been operating in Szentes since then.

The company's profile focuses on two main areas: primarily processed cut-and-cut poultry products, and highly processed, ready-to-roast finished products. Hungerit manufactures and distributes the VALDOR product family, which is constantly expanding with both primarily processed and breaded, ready-to-roast products.
