Rice is an ancient and popular ingredient, the staple food for more than half of humanity. White rice is not a separate variety, it only differs from brown rice in that the bran and germ parts are removed during processing. Since this also reduces the fat content of the rice grains, the resulting product has a longer shelf life, as it does not go rancid.
When making porridge, no additives are added to the rice and nothing is taken out of it, so every value that is naturally found in rice is also present in the porridge. So you can now eat a nutritious cereal rich in complex carbohydrates not only as a side dish, but also for breakfast!
