Kifli.hu is committed to providing practical assistance to families – primarily in the field of online shopping. At the same time, we want to pay special attention to families that have recently expanded, as the arrival of a new family member brings many challenges along with much joy. That is why we launched our "Baby-mama" series, which primarily provides help to mothers with young children with special suggestions and offers.

In the first weeks and months, new mothers have a lot to learn: although every baby is different, they all have in common that they require a lot of attention and care. They are all getting to know a completely new world, as after the quiet safety and calm of the womb, they suddenly find themselves in a world full of colors, scents, and sounds.

When it comes to baby cosmetics, it is important to choose products that are suitable for the little ones. Bathing, moisturizing, skincare, and oral care all contribute to the comfort of babies, so it is worth carefully selecting the necessary products and prioritizing fragrance-free and colorant-free bath products, powders, and creams to avoid any irritation.

Ideally, newborns should be bathed 2-3 times a week. A few minutes are enough to keep their skin clean and to get them accustomed to the sensation of water and the impulses felt during bathing. Special attention should be paid to keeping the folds, areas in contact with the diaper, and around the navel clean, as well as to the water temperature: the ideal temperature for them is around 37-39 degrees Celsius.

For infants, breastfeeding is ideal for the first 6 months of life: breast milk can fully meet the nutritional and fluid needs. Research has shown that infants fed with breast milk have a stronger immune system; they are less likely to become allergic, overweight, or diabetic as adults, and they have a lower chance of developing cardiovascular diseases.

In the absence of breast milk, formula feeding can be a solution for meals: the instructions on various products indicate the dosage recommendation, i.e., how many ml of liquid is needed to mix a given amount of formula. Many products can facilitate the feeding of babies, and it is also true for this product group that it is worth choosing good quality. During complementary feeding after 6 months of age, the consumption of supplementary foods can begin, initially once a day, later twice a day, and then, in parallel with development, even 3-4 times a day.
