Kifli carries it on its bread!

The celebration of new bread (and coffee)

The Celebration of Bread
Let's meet on August 20th at the Szentendre Open-Air Museum at the Kenyérlelke Festival, the annual big jamboree of the domestic sourdough community! At the event, which has been held for over ten years, you can meet the best of Hungarian bakeries, take part in great presentations and workshops, and last but not least, you can meet us too. Look for the Kifli stand, if you crave fresh, local refreshments!

They fire up the oven for you every morning at dawn

Bread with Italian Flair
The bread wizard known as Szabi a Pék learned his craft in Italy, focusing on long-fermented, natural sourdough breads. His baked goods, available under the brand name Panifico il Basilico, are made this way, using only flour, water, salt, and love. They are particularly proud of their sourdough starter, which originated near Naples 102 years ago and has been cherished ever since.
